A Life in Motion
My name is Abigail, but many know me as Edem. In 2025, I packed my life into two suitcases, sold everything I owned, and left Ghana to make the world my address. I chose this path not as an escape, but as a commitment to live with freedom, resilience, and courage. Every border I cross carries a lesson, every community I meet adds meaning, and every story I share is a step toward healing.
I am a solo traveler, but I am not alone. My journey is carried by the women and communities who open their doors and hearts to me. I travel with the intention of building connection, sparking conversation, and creating spaces where stories can be heard. This is not leisure, this is purpose.
Traveling solo brings me joy and adventure. I find excitement in navigating new cities, tasting unfamiliar foods, and learning from different cultures. From long train rides and street markets to quiet sunsets and unexpected friendships, these moments remind me that travel is as much about fun as it is about growth.
But beyond all that, my deepest calling is to use my voice. I tell stories that center women, challenge injustice, and amplify resilience. Whether in a village in Malawi, a city in Asia, or a gathering in the United States, I believe in showing up with honesty, empathy, and strength.
This is who I am, and this is the life I have chosen: a life beyond borders, built on healing, freedom, and shared humanity. Below are the values that guide me across borders and keep me grounded no matter where I land.
